The agency
EMDE Billing & Transcription is an agency, not a software platform and not a call centre. We assemble and manage a team of billing, coding and transcription specialists around each practice we work with, and we stay accountable for the output. You get one point of contact rather than a ticket queue.
Our specialists bring more than twenty years of experience in medical billing and clinical documentation. Rather than employing a large in-house department and spreading it thin, we match the right people to each account — a practice with a heavy surgical caseload needs different coding depth from a behavioural health clinic, and the model reflects that.
Where we came from
The founder began working in medical billing and transcription in 2015, serving physicians across the United States — handling coding, claims submission, denial management and clinical documentation for independent practices and small groups. EMDE carries that experience into a dual-market agency serving both US and Gulf providers.
Why two regions
Most billing agencies pick one market and treat the other as an afterthought. The rules are genuinely different, and the difference matters at the level of the individual claim.
United States
- ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, HCPCS Level II
- Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer submission
- HIPAA compliance, with a Business Associate Agreement executed before any data is exchanged
- Denial management, appeals and A/R follow-up
United Arab Emirates
- DHA and DOH requirements; eClaimLink and Shafafiya submission
- ICD-10-CM, CPT and IR-DRG — not the Saudi code sets
- DHIC Directive PD-05-2025: 6-hour outpatient pre-auth, 45-day adjudication, per-day delay fees
- Data handling agreed in writing under Federal Law No. 2 of 2019
Saudi Arabia
- Council of Health Insurance requirements; NPHIES submission
- ICD-10-AM, SBS (V2 current, V3 anticipated) and AR-DRG v9.0
- Pre-authorisation and resubmission workflows
Qatar
- Ministry of Public Health framework under Law No. 22 of 2021
- Submission to MOPH-registered insurers
- Eligibility verification against mandatory cover
How we work
We take on a limited number of practices. Billing quality falls when accounts outnumber the people who can properly attend to them. We would rather turn work away than dilute the work we have.
Pricing is published. Billing is a percentage of collections; transcription is per line. The rates are on the site and in the cost estimator, so you can judge the fit before speaking to anyone.
No lock-in. If the service isn't earning its fee, you should be able to leave. Contracts that trap clients tend to protect agencies that have stopped trying.
Documentation first. Most avoidable denials originate in the note rather than the claim. We look upstream at how encounters are documented, not only at what gets submitted.
Where we are
EMDE operates from Lahore, Pakistan, working to the time zones of the practices we serve. We say this plainly because offshore delivery is a reasonable thing for a client to want to know before they ask.
Data handling is set out in full in our Privacy Policy. In short: encrypted channels only, access limited to the people working your account, a BAA for US clients, and a written lawful basis agreed with Gulf clients before onboarding.
